NARE (Norwegian Antarctic Research Expedition) 1984/85 var den største norske Antarktisekspedisjon på mange år, og besto av 77 deltakere (derav 28 forskere fra 15 ulike forskningsinstitusjoner). Ekspedisjonen var organisert og ledet av Norsk Polarinstitutt, og ekspedisjonsskipet var "Andenes". Ekspedisjonen var delt inn i et marint parti som gjorde vitenskapelige undesøkelser i Weddelhavet, og to landpartier; Camp Norway 5 i Mülig-Hoffmannfjella og Camp Norway 6 i Vestfjella.
The norwegian antartic research expedition, NARE 1984/85 was the largest and most ambitious Antartic expedition mounted by Norway in recent year. There were altogether 77 participants, including 28 scientists from 15 different scientific institutions. The expedition was leded by Norwegian Polar Institute, and the expeditionship was "Andenes".
